This study, commissioned by Education International Africa and carried out by Dr Casmir Chanda, sheds light on key issues surrounding school leadership through a comprehensive analysis of education policies and the lived experiences of school principals' union leaders across the continent. By examining national priorities, appointment criteria, professional training opportunities, and the gender dimensions of school leadership, the study seeks to address gaps in our understanding of the diverse realities of school leadership in different African contexts.
