One key question for policymakers in West Bank and Gaza, as well as for the donor community, is to what extent is the Palestinian education system in a constant crisis, and what are the emergency needs that arise from it? This analytic report looked into what has been the performance of the system in the past five years, how its resources are being used, and how well prepared is the system to meet the challenges ahead. It is an attempt to develop a medium-term perspective for the Education Sector. This exercise sheds light on which are the key priority areas of intervention needed to keep the functionality of the education system and at the same time improve its performance in
accordance with the economic and social needs of the Palestinian population.
