This booklet is concerned with planning for innovation in education. It ventures to provide explanations to questions such as: are there rational planning techniques and innovative planning attitudes which can be introduced by education planners at the school level in a realistic and practical manner? What type of culture and atmosphere are prerequisites to innovation? Can educational innovations be translated into sustaining actions at the school level without losing sight of cultural perspectives and the needs of both the learner and of all the players in the education system? In formulating responses to the above queries, the author presents the reader with a framework for implementing strategies and suggests processes and actions which can expedite innovation at the school level.
